Member Story: Home Loan

For long-time aviation veteran Clifford B. Clemmer, 71, joining the Credit Union 33 years ago was all about easy access, convenience and locations. But it’s a relationship that has grown over the years, almost as much as Clemmer’s résumé.

After graduating from the Spartan College of Aeronautics as an Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic, Clemmer went on to teach A&P school at an aviation high school in Cleveland as well as Texas AeroTect at Love Field. He also served in the U.S. Air Force for four years in addition to working for the flight department at Diamond Shamrock Corp. and as a Jet Engine Inspector for American Airlines.

Clifford says he has been loyal to the Credit Union for the “fast processing of loans and other transactions and the helpful attitude of Credit Union employees.”

He also appreciates the times the Credit Union had gone about and beyond by facilitating money transfers to his son and daughter, both of whom live out of state, adding that “I definitely trust American Airlines Credit Union to help me invest and protect my money.”

Though Clifford is retired now, with time to embrace his love of classic cars or his passion for cycling, he knows the Credit Union is always working for him and appreciates an institution that has his back.

“The low-interest rates on car loans and mortgage rates have allowed us to grow quickly and obtain our needs faster.”
