In celebration of National Aviation Week Aug. 19-25, American Airlines Federal Credit Union commemorated the occasion with a weeklong celebration throughout the company to not only honor the industry employees we serve but all of our members.

Last month, all of our 46 branches across the nation decked out their locations and welcomed members by offering snacks, giveaways, thank-you gifts and even a $25 bonus for brand new members. We also celebrated over the weekend, reaching out to families with Saturday events.

Visitors throughout the week also had the opportunity to sign up for a chance to win one of three $1,000 prizes.

The contest drew nearly 3,000 members, with more than 8,400 potential entries based on members’ product participation. From that pool, we selected just three lucky winners, all of whom (appropriately enough) were aviation industry employees:

1. John M. (Phoenix, Arizona) Credit Union member for 8 years
2. Melvan H., (Bedford, Texas) Credit Union member for 10 years
3. Sharon A. (Mesa, Arizona) Credit Union member for 6 years

Congratulations to everyone!

Of course, no one left empty-handed, especially the more than 1,035 new members who joined the Credit Union family that week.
